Holocaust Remembrance Day

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Hi Everyone,

Today was Yom HaShoah– Holocaust Remembrance Day– and there were candles lit around the world in memory of those who perished in the Holocaust. Part of the purpose of Yom HaShoah is to ensure that the world remembers the hard lessons that the Holocaust taught us: we cannot be part of a just society when we allow bigotry, hatred and indifference to take precedence over acceptance, compassion and love. Please join me in remembering those who perished needlessly so many years ago by pledging to take a stand against prejudice whenever you encounter it. By speaking up against intolerance, we give a voice to those who are no longer here– and to those who are not able to speak up for themselves. Together we CAN make a difference!

Stay Zenspired,

Joanne

  1. Hi, Joanne. It's so wonderful to read a Jewish-themed blog post on an art blog–it's a rare occurrence, in my experience! I love your Judaica art too, especially your Zenspiration-dangled Chuppah. Just ordered the "Dangles" book and can't wait til it arrives.
