Hi Everyone,
When life throws us curve balls, and we aren’t sure IF we can handle them, much less HOW to handle them, I take comfort in knowing that with God all things ARE possible. I have been blessed to have experienced God’s presence in my life, and to know that prayer works miracles. I think that’s why this is my favorite scripture.
I’d love to know what your favorite scriptue is… please take a moment to share it, and say why it is your favorite.
Stay Zenspired,
Joanne

Be still and know that I am God. -Psalm 46:10
I have a tile with this scripture in my meditation area. It brings me serenity. When things are going well it reminds me to slow, savor, and stay in gratitude. And when life throws a challenge into the mix it reminds me to slow, breathe, and relax into the knowing that God is in charge and all is well.
"For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight." Ephesians 1:4. One of many favorites! Thank you.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3: 5,6
"Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of they holy temple."
Psalm 65:4
This scripture really spoke to me during a particularly difficult time of my life. I was going through some struggles and trials that I really didn't feel I deserved. When I heard this verse, I thought, "Ok, God, if You're allowing this situation so I will seek You and Your ways, then ok…do what You need to do with me."
Trust in the LORD and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His Faithfulness Psalm 37:3
The past year has been one rollercoaster ride after another, but through it all God and His faithfulness have provided every need, and the odd want…..
Interesting that a lot of the above scriptures are from the Psalms….. they do say that the Psalms are healing scriptures….
blessings,

Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
I especially love the line that says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart." My husband has been suffering PTSD and TBI after being injured overseas in a bombing. The effects of that runs through the family and it has been really difficult. I actually have a long list of verses I keep in a journal, many are from the Psalms.
The eternal God is your refuge, and UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS.
Deuteronomy 33:27
I have struggled with depression for most of my life and have always found comfort in this verse. I so love the way your art has such a spiritual base. Have only just found your site, thank you.
Joanne,
Thank you for your reply. I have a new email, blog, etc and I'm trying to find ways to blend art with healing. It's still a work in progress but I know there are women out there who live with someone struggling with PTSD and it's not easy. Art and journaling have helped me tremendously and I hope to encourage other women as well. Thank you for your encouragement and reminding me of God's word!
